Bon Jovi: I 'Absolutely' Gave Christie Permission To Use My Songs

Chris Christie got permission from his fellow native New Jersey, Jon Bon Jovi to use his songs during his presidential campaign, the rocker confirmed through a political publicist said Tuesday.

Christie played Bon Jovi "Who says you cannot go home" campaign announcement in his speech Tuesday at his old high school in Livingston, New Jersey.

"My friends are apolitical, and yes, absolutely given permission to use my songs," Bon Jovi said in a statement through his publicist.

Bon Jovi, who organized a fundraiser for the Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in Red Bank, New Jersey, on Monday night, has a friendly relationship with the governor of New Jersey in the past.

In 2013, Bon Jovi donated $ 1 million to the sand Fund Help for Hurricane New Jersey, which was created by Christie's wife Mary Pat Christie.
